Good wings, some of the better I have had. A nice little bar, and friendly waitstaff, and a comfortable small-town feel. We rolled up on motorcycles today and felt very welcomed. Great place for a stop.

This place was so dirty and disgusting! The table was so sticky, my arms stuck to it. There was dust hanging from the ceiling and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. My food was horrible and they ended up taking care of my bill.

I absolutely love this place. It is my favorite! Great food, great service, great people that work there, and the booze is cheap. What more could you ask for? You really have to get the wings. They are so god. It is also fun to cook your own burger or steak. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. It is worth the drive.

The bf and i randomally decided to hit up a few local digs one Wednesday night, and stumbled upon O'Malleys. Here's why this place, served up a 4 star experience! Star 1 = Extrememly close to home, and full of locals creates a very homey, and unique atmosphere! Star 2 = Prices are insanely good. three appetizers + 4 beers all for $25? HOLY AWESOME! Star 3 = Staff here is amazing, friendly and quick! our food, booze and extras were delivered in record time! Star 4 = Craving a steak or burger but want it done your own way?? O'malley's allows you to buy a steak and cook it yourself! :) This dive is the perfect gem!

I read about this place on Yelp and had to give it a try! I arrived with my two little girls who were impressed by the old school video games. This pub/grill is situated in a historic, two story house, situated on Palmer Lake. The huge patio seemed warm and inviting. I ordered a 16 oz Rib Eye for $13.99 and a 1/2 lb burger for $4.99. I split the burger in half and my girls were psyched to season and cook their patties on the grill. My steak was tender and delicious...I'll definitely be back with some friends.

Anytime I can grill my own fresh, cut to order Rib Eye or New York Strip Steaks, chicken breast, buffalo burger or hamburger, I have to give the joint 5 stars. Yes it's old and yes its a dive, that adds to the charm.

I've never gone to a restaurant and cooked my own meal before, but this is the place to do it. Only one person to blame if it's bad. With that said, this is a fantastic place to go, have a beer (or 2, 3...) hang at the grill with the fellas, and have a great time. Wing's are superb. Next time I'm back in town, I will definitely hit this place up.

Stopped here yesterday on a harley run. This is a wonderful place located in a quant little town. I ordered the buffalo burger with fries, and my hubby ordered the wings. He liked the wings. My burger was ok (I didn't really dig the bun), but the fries were awesome hand cut fries! Love the atmosphere of this place. It was swarming with bikers. We will be back!

food is average, nothing special at all. service is slow. i guess it's fun if you like to cook your own steak/burger, but i like to have my food cooked for me when i go out. and the tables and floors were really sticky. but if your a biker, it seems to be "the place to go". on sunny weekends this place is PACKED with bikers.

Incredible food, incredible atmosphere and incredible staff make O'Malley's a true gem. I was introduced to Jeff (The owner) the first time I went there. I became a customer for life the second time I went in and he called me by name.

Delicious food and great prices! Friendly environment and you can cook your own meat. Wings are super yummy and NY steak is too! Definitely stop here if you're in the hood

I should write a 1 star review to keep people away. This place is legendary. Always great accomadating service for groups and always a fun time. Pros: Cook your own steak! Great cuts of Ribeye & NY Strips. Great Great Great Wings. Washington Apple shots like no other. Nothing like standing around the grill drinking a beer and BSing. Cons: They took out my favorite barbers chair years ago. That thing was Pimp. I cant get the high score on the Galaga machine. The Beer aint free. O'Malleys isn't a place you stop and eat. Its an experience!

Cook your own steak , cut to order . Great prices . NY Strip or Ribeye.House cut French-Fries or Baked Potato & salad bar included. The wings here are also great . Omalley's offers only one kind of classic buttery buffalo sauce ---over fat little wings&drummies. The house-made ranch& blue cheese dressings are a treat. Bison or beef burgers or grilled chicken available too. The owner and waitresses &cooks are REALLY NICE! Pitchers of beer are a good price . Lots of good drafts.Full bar. Juke box &pool tables.Sports on the many TVs. Great patio ,smoking allowed ,with views of the mountains ,lake, motorcycles&trains . Dogs are welcome. Maybe not great for kids,it's more of a bar , really.Nice mix of locals & visitors .

I will travel near and far to try wings. If I hear from word of mouth that the wings are good then I will go and go quickly. Friends said that O'malley's was the place to go-so go I did. Went there and first thing is first-they have cold Coors Original on draft. You would think this would be everywhere in Co but no! So that is how I started the new culinary experience and I knew I was in for good things from that point. Looking at the menu and being tempted to order so many things-I held strong with 10 wings and fries. A breath of fresh air when ordering wings because you only order an amount. There isn't different flavors-no boneless wings-just wings in their original state. The fries were a snap decision because a person near me had them and they were made there. Wings came out and they didn't last long because they were so good. Good sauce-good crisp on the wings-good mixture of drums and wings. The fries were thick cut-a little crispy(love that)-and plentiful. Overall I had a great experience-the waitresses are very nice and the bikers and other patrons are too. The person with me got the nachos with green chili-not a big portion but we're not too bad.

What a pleasant surprise in little Palmer Lake. My bf and I did a long run up the road at Greenland Open Space and had a taste for some beers in the sunshine. We had heard of the Speedtrap, so tried there first, but they had just closed (closed between 2-5). Fortunately for us! We walked across the street to O'Malley's and as soon as we sat down on the patio considered it a win. Ordered 2 beers and 10 wings and a large basket of fries to share. Our bill was $18! The wings were big and juicy and the sauce was perfect! Thick and spicy and buttery! The fries were handcut and the large was a huge basket, and while they didn't hold as much salt as we would like (both of us are salt-aholics, especially after a long sweaty run), we managed to eat every single one and fight over the crumbly bits in the bottom of the basket. The servers were SUPER friendly, and a big bonus that they didn't charge us for extra sauce (ranch for me, wing sauce for him). That always ups the tip % for me! We also took a peek inside. There is an open flame grill for have-it-your-way steaks and burgers - very cool concept - and a salad bar - kinda lame, but who cares about salad with those wings! I'm running a 24 hour race around Palmer Lake next weekend, and my BF is already planning periodic trips across the tracks to hit up O'Malley's. I hope he brings me some wings!!

Long day on the road back to the Springs? Tired from the haul? Want a nice juicy burger or steak? Cool. Cook it your damn self. This might be "cool" if there was any kind of significant price difference, but this gimmick means that you cook your steak/burger yourself for about the same cost as somewhere else who does that for you instead. (A huge incentive to eat out is that someone else cooks and cleans, last time I checked.) Here, you get your own arse up from the table, away from people you came with (who don't want to cook their own food)... and instead of spending time with them, cook your own unseasoned piece of 1/2" thick grocery-store quality steak. Season it yourself. Look on the bright side: at least this way, you can't tell them they cooked something wrong. And hey dude, you may have a view, and more importantly, this gives you a chance to get away from your wife for at least a good 10 minutes or so and 'hang with your bros by the grill' for some male bonding. Neato, man. Uh, it''s a bar, first and foremost; the rest is secondary at best. Don't come here for the food, come for the beer. Keep the foodie expectations low and you'll enjoy yourself. Bikers galore and good mountain scenery. This place got the whole "location, location, location" thing just right, and is cashing in accordingly. It's at a perfect stopping point down Highway 105. Basic beer, basic bar food, that's it. Period. It's really about the atmosphere and location which is how the place appears to survive. Great patio... if the weather happens to be cooperating, you can stand the cigarette smoke, and can tolerate the sometimes mannerless crowd of fifty-somethings going through a midlife Harley crisis. Don't expect anything more than a smudged, third-grader type selection of basics on the laminated paper menu. Get some chili cheese fries or wings and kick it root down. Frankly, if you really want to cook your own steak, you'd be way better off doing it with a better cut of meat, for less cost, at home on your own damn grill. A good place for a drink or three and a basic appetizer, but get a real meal somewhere else.

If you don't like O'Malley's pack up and leave Colorado immediately. It's proudly a dive bar with great good and a good beer selection. Summer evenings on the deck under the stars drinking beer and eating a burger you grilled. Watch the cops as you head home. They're...uhhhh...vigilant.

  • Adam O.

I went on a Friday night and it was crazy busy but the service was still awesome. The wings were out of control good and I don't even like buffalo wings. The steaks were delicious (since I cooked them and I am bad ass) and the beer was cold and a good price.

    (5)
  • Christina B.

Best wings you'll ever come across! O'Malley's has a very VERY relaxed small town pub feel... There is a grill inside the pub on which you cook your own burger. I've never experienced poor service here. And like I said, best wings EVER.

    (5)
  • Tomcat M.

Very few places in small towns will compare to your experience here. Prepare for a friendly staff, excellent food at reasonable prices, and a beautiful ride if you're out on the Harley. The wings are fantastic. The beer is cold. And if you like big steaks and want to grill it yourself, then you've just found heaven. Keep Calm and Harley On.

If I rated O'malley's on food alone - I would give it a 4 or 4.5. BUT - I have to take into consideration my surroundings and the overall experience. First let me say that this was a fluke today. My husband and I were headed to La Rosa for lunch - I've heard great things and we were both in the mood for Mexican. Yelp shows that La Rosa is open from 11:30 - 2 on Friday's. Not so! 5:00 PM weekdays and I think 10:00 am on Sunday's. We were bummed! As we were headed back home to Castle Rock, we passed O'Malley's which was just up the street. It looked busy so we stopped by. Oh - and of course I had to check Yelp to see if it was suitable!! We ordered chicken wings and split a cheeseburger. Both were delicious. I love crispy wings and these did not disappoint. The burger was juicy and properly cooked. NOTE - there is a grill and it is for patrons to cook their own steaks and burgers - our burger was cooked in the kitchen which made me very happy. Hand cut french fries rounded out the meal. I go out to eat so I don't have to cook. As far as I could tell they only offer one sauce for the wings - a nicely heated buffalo sauce. Prices were incredibly reasonable. Filled to the top tap beer - a Batch 19 - only $3.50. Coors light a bargain at $2.50! Why 3 stars? This is clearly a local place which is great but the locals that were there at the time of our visit were loud and profanity flowed freely. Now I can curse like a sailor - but only in private - never in a public place. It was very annoying and uncomfortable. The music was also too loud and very bizarre techno scream. I asked if the music could be changed or turned down and the bartender said the controls were stuck and she couldn't change it - huh??? All in all - food was great and beer was cold. We will definitely go back!

This place was awesome. The atmosphere, the wings, and the ice cold beer. But something happened that absolutely surprised my friends and I. We ordered 60 wings and a couple pitchers of beer. When the wings came out, they brought us 3 baskets. We started to dive in and annihilated one basket in no time. We thought that there were a lot of wings on our table but didn't think anything of it. After about 20 minutes, our server came over and explained that we had actually received 90 wings (30 in each basket). "Awesome!" we thought. But then she went on to ask if we would mind if we paid for the extra wings! We were astonished. Why the heck would we pay for food we didn't order? I honestly can't believe the server even asked. I worked in several restaurants while I was in college, and we never would have even thought to do such a thing... Here's where it gets weird. After we politely said that we are not going to pay for extra wings that we could "take home and put in the oven at 350 degrees," our server proceeded to take the wings back. It just so happens that we could see the kitchen from the table we were at across from the bar top. The expo proceeded to refry the wings that sat at our table for almost half an hour! A couple minutes later, we watched the same wings go out to another table... Make of it what you will... But giving a table extra food, then asking them to pay for it, then taking the extra food to a different table is crazy... Wish it never would've happened cause the food was good and the place was legit.

Best wings in the Springs... hands down. Amazing cuts on steaks and a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and delicious fried anything. Great dark pub that makes ya feel welcome. Good beer selection too. Love this place

  • Terry W.

First let tell everyone who has complained about it being dirty: It Is A Biker Bar. But their food rocks! Hell their bacon cheeseburger with fries is a gut bomb. I usually go for their chicken wings which are about 3 inches long per wing. So unlike Wing Stop when you order 10 wings it is more like 15 wings in the amount of meat you get. The wait staff is super friendly but it is a bar so it is tough for them to cover as much area in a regular restaurant. Now I am not big fan on when you have to cook your own food (weekends) since the grill gets super busy but you can call ahead and have it cooked for you. It is pure genius though to come up with this idea so it doesn't flood the kitchen as much on the weekends. But when you see their cut of steak you will be surprised because for the price you are almost robbing them. Either way check the place out and take some quarters so you can go and place some retro video games while there.

This is the definition of: "mom & pop", "hole in the wall", "dive". It is freaking awesome! I don't live far from here so maybe becoming a regular should be added to my bucketlist. Over the past couple of months I've had some absolutely terrible wings. My visit to O'Malley's the other night was just the thing I needed to repress those memories. The wings here are far and away the best - ever. I don't think I'll ever eat wings somewhere else again. Our server was super friendly, fun to joke with, and quick. We never had to wait for refills. As others have said - O'Malley's should have some other seasonings for their grill area. Even Montreal Steak Seasoning would be a welcomed addition. O'Malley's! Do it!

  • Amanda H.

It's definitely a dive bar....so those of you looking for a five star dining experience, look elsewhere. I went on a Sunday and there were a lot of bikers enjoying an ice-cold Coors on the patio. It's a wonderful atmosphere on the patio with the majority of the tables under shade trees. Dogs are welcomed and given ice water in a bowl upon arrival! Our servers were very friendly and exactly what you would expect from a small town. We ordered the nachos with green chile sauce and wings. The nachos were pretty good (not bad, not out of this world...just something good to snack on) but the wings were fantastic! It's something about the sauce that makes them unlike a good majority of wings out there. The drinks are cheap ($3ish) and the ambiance is fantastic. I'm looking forward to going back with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon to enjoy a few beers.

  • Jon W.

It's simple, a little grungy, and unique. Absolutely wonderful! dont go here unless you want a completly different experience. Here, you get a great steak at a low price with only one catch; it's uncooked. A great place for men to go, grab a few beers, and cook steaks around an indoor grill. If you question your own grilling skills, or want a premium salad bar, go somewhere else. This is a great bar for cheap pitchers of beer, and MEAT. Not a date night for the average woman.

Delicious, grill your own steak. My first experience at a restaurant like this and I will be going back! Fun, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Lots of TVs, large outdoor seating area.

Best Steakhouse in the USA ! By which I mean they serve the best beef ! Strip or ribeye always cooked perfectly, because you cook it yourself! A 10 oz steak is an extreem value but only $1 more for every extra 2 oz., wow! (Order extra-for steak and eggs, next morning, right?)expertly butchered in the kitchen, off a side of beef , pasture raised, & local. The owner Jeff & friendly waitstaff will make you(and your DOG) feel at home, on their huge patio, so kick back and enjoy the view! I also should add, they have a full bar, lots of drafts, ( pitchers are fun for groups)a decent fresh salad bar,the Best hot wings, yummy hand cut french fries, and great beef or buffalo burgers. They are open late ,as a bar ,and will cut you a steak and keep the grill on into the wee hours(2am).Not elegant, just good. This place has such rustic charm, maybe not for snobs. As for us & our dog,we've been dozens of times , and Never had Any trouble from the" bikers" or " locals".... Some people need to RELAX .

Horrible, worthless, undeniably the worst service and staff imaginable. Never go here! Use to be a favorite. However should be out of business and embarrassed of themselves now with what they have.

  • Michael G.

I love this place, and will drive almost an hour to go there. The wings are the best i've had and cooking your own steak, who else does that? This place is awesome. The only issue I've ever had here is it's always packed tight, tables are really close to each other and going to the bathroom is a trip in itself trying to wade through other patrons.

    (5)
  • Chris H.

I've been here twice now......the sandwiches are the real deal, very good. I'm very picky about chicken wings so I was really surprise when they served up some mean wings. Very awesome. The staff is awesome which unfortunately is something that seems to be very hard to find these days. Both times we were there, didn't matter who talked up to our table, everyone was super friendly.

    (5)
  • Johnnie W.

Went there over this past weekend for the first time. A small group of us were out on our bikes and decided to stop there for a refreshment and some food. First let me say that the atmosphere is sweet, and plenty of seating room outside. The service was spot on and we didn't wait long for food or drinks. Second, Ive been looking for a place that serves some damn right awesome wing but this is one of the first times I can honestly say I was surprised by how good they are. I hate nothing more than "rubbery" wings and most places that claim to have bomb wings fall short in that area. Well O'mally's does it right and the wings come out crispy and with a great tasting sauce. I am looking forward to the next time I can get up there so I can try the steak. What's better than having an ice cold beer, sitting in the sun, and enjoying some amazing food with friends and the O'l lady.

  • JAK K.

Though my wife and I live in Colorado Springs, when we want a great burger, we go to O'Malley's Pub in Palmer Lake. Today, we both had bacon cheeseburgers, and they were thick, juicy, and grilled to perfection. A classic "biker's bar", the parking in front and across the street is lined with motorcycles at lunchtime on weekends. However, most of the bikers have grey hair and expensive bikes, so no threats & no fears. The only danger is if you come in the evening - then you are required to grill your own steaks and burgers. At lunchtime, though, their great cooks do all the grillwork for you. A beautiful spot at the base of the front-range, too, eat out on the deck and enjoy the views!

    (4)
  • Crys A.

It's not that the food was awesome or the drinks delicious, it's that the deck outside is great when weather permits and the waitresses with their well-lined faces and crotchety dispositions are really pretty awesome. It's hard to mess up a bottle of beer; I guess it's less hard to mess up a cosmopolitan, which yes, I ordered at this gritty biker-type bar. I will order a cosmopolitan anywhere; sorry haters. Having said that, I usually take it with a grain of salt if my drink isn't like the one I had the night before at The Four Seasons (oh wait until I get to THAT place). Because this place is NOT The Four Seasons. It's a biker bar by a lake with a lot of happy people partying on the deck. We had jalapeno poppers and split a burger. It was good. The sun was bright. The drinks were cold. It was worth the drive, I think, and I'll definitely go back when the weather is good again. So basically what I'm saying is that with this place, it's not about the specifics but about the general experience. And I like the general experience.

  • Koko L.

    Good wings! Great service.

  • Megan B.

Now that I'm a "Yelper," I HAVE to write about my fav hole-in-the-wall....a mucky, crooked little house where the staff says "go cook your own damn burger and like it!"...and I really do! Seriously, this was my old college hang when we wanted a low key night away. Like a house BBQ, you go to O'Malleys to have somebody cook up your apps n wings while you tend your tasty burger at the indoor grille. I always get the saucy hot wings (read: need napkinsss), juicy burger and plenty of runny ranch sauce! And of course, a couple of grateful deads (long island tea substituted cranberry juice) go nicely. NOT for dieters, fru-fru diners, or clean freaks, but this place reminds me of my Nebraska grandparents old farm and hits a nostalgic home run in my book! Hey at least they finally threw a grate over the gaping hole in the 2d floor dining area which looked down to the bar to keep the drunk peeps from fallin :)

Best wings West of the Mississippi!

    (4)
  • Ray B.

Everyone talks about how great the wings are - NOT! Went there when it was super busy but got a table. Waited 10-minutes for a server (who was visibly exhausted), and waited another 15-minutes for the drinks we ordered. After waiting 20-minutes for the food (marginal, at best), I was annoyed. And to top it off, the place was disgustingly filthy - the floors, the tables, everything. Maybe I will try it again on a slower day, but my experience that day was terrible.

  • Ron S.

Fascinating little place. I heard about O'Malley's years ago, but because it's in Palmer Lake, I never felt like driving all the way up there to check it out. I wish I had sooner--it's pretty cool. This place looks ilke a house, which is interesting. Feels like a real mom and pop shop, which I think is par for the course in Palmer Lake. Their beer selection is decent and they have a few different appetizers that are good. You can choose what kind of cut of steak you want, and they bring it out raw on a plate and you go grill it yourself. That was fun. Very limited on the spices and sauces though (I saw salt and pepper, garlic, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and that's it--kind of random). Overall, made for a fun evening and it's certainly unique.

  • Don T.

I've been here 100+ times. The food is really good (especially the Buffalo Burger, Fries, Home Chips, and Wings). The service is usually good and friendly (95% of time). You do have to cook your own burgers and steaks on the community grill (after 4pm), which can be a fun way to meet people. As others have noted dogs are welcome on the patio. Definitely a biker hangout on the weekends when it's nice outside; otherwise, the clientele is usually a pretty good cross-section of N. El Paso county. Yeah, it's not the cleanest place (indeed the tables are sometimes a little sticky and the restrooms appear to only get cleaned once/day), but typical for a small town dive bar. Lots of TVs which they change the channel upon request - but the local teams are always on one of the big screens.

  • Lara H.

This is one of my favorite bars and if you haven't been here, you're missing out!! They have by far some of the best hot wings I've EVER had. The basket of fries or cheese fries are huge and only cost couple of bucks. O'Malleys also has a grill inside the bar, where you can cook your own steaks and burgers. Just order and they bring you the raw meat where you can season and cook it while drinking a beer. Oh and the best part? The kitchen is open 24/7. This year they added bunch of big TVs so you can watch games while you eat or drink as well. The atmosphere is very friendly and casual, it's the kind of place where I can drop in with a t-shirt and feel at home. If you're in the mood to get drunk, drop by Fri or Sat night. Saturday nights are karaoke nights. They don't offer a lot on tap, but do carry many different bottled selections. I usually get a few pitchers of sunshine wheat with 20 wings and some fries. If you like light beer (not for me) it's only $6 for a pitcher of coors light. They also have "21 at the O" which is 21 different mixed shots for $50. You also get a t-shirt with it where you can cross off drinks as you go. It doesn't have to be your 21st birthday, it's just a fun way of getting drunk. However, if you do go there Sat night, be prepared for a large cadet crowd. The staff is very friendly and the owner is always there as well. I've been to this place so many times in the last 4 years that I know most of the staff my face/name. If you like neighborhood bars and are not in the mood for upscale downtown, try it, you will love it.

O'Malley's is a must-stop for my wife and me whenever we go to Colorado Springs. It's just such a good vibe and so fun to cook your own steaks. It's not the grilling that's cool necessarily, but the fact that it kind of forces you to interact socially with other people there in a very casual setting. The beer selection is quite good, the fries are fresh cut and the wings don't disappoint me either. Really like this place.

Some of the best wings this side of the planet Mars, beer and Galaga! Need I say more?

  • Kristyne M.

Cool place to stop for a bite, however, note, if you arrive after 4:00 on Sunday's you have to cook your own food; I don't know about the rest of the week? Took us by surprise when we were served raw meat and pointed toward the grill, which I might add, was pretty busy. Everything on the menu appears to be of very generous size (i.e., steaks, burgers, basket of fries, etc.). There is no shortage of televisions in this bustling little pub and the outside patio is very inviting once you get your food prepared.

    (4)
  • Sharon P.

Flew in from Houston TX and always check Yelp for a great place that locals hang out and we found it. We sat on the patio and had a great time. The chicken wings were amazing and the Fries are awesome. Love that they are real cut fries with the skins left on. We aren't quite use to the altitude of CO so we were stuffed, otherwise my husband wanted to try the Bison Burger. Maybe next time!!
